Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

  • We are seeking day shift (7am-3:30pm) electro-mechanical assemblers for a military and defense facility located in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa.

  • Pay is based on experience and interview performance, ranging from $27-$37 per hour with the possibility of higher pay based on experience.

  • Overtime is available during the week and on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and/or electrical assemblies in a manufacturing setting.

  • Use common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, or specialized test equipment.

  • Read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.

  • Communicate effectively (verbally and written) with engineering and production teams.

  • Possibility for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.

  • Rapidly change roles and responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting (aerospace, electronics, or medical industry preferred).

  • Proficiency with common hand tools and power tools.

  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions.

  • Proficiency with computer use (standard browser and word processing applications).

  • Working knowledge of common electrical components.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with engineering and production teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanically assembling complex electro-mechanical assemblies, high quality wire harnesses, test racks, junction boxes, and associated components.

  • Hand soldering and component fabrication skills.

  • Experience with validation and testing of various electronic components using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks.

  • Familiarity with common air-frame construction techniques such as rivets, mechanical fasteners, and nut plates.

  • Experience in electronic box assembly troubleshooting and writing detailed issue tickets for failures.

  • Running functional checkouts and tests, diagnosing issues discovered during these processes, and testing and running RF systems.

  • PCBA and troubleshooting experience.
