Job Description:

Role Summary:

This role serves as the product owner for the CareCredit consumer self-service (CSS) platform including online and in-app provider payments.

The CareCredit consumer self service platform is a web-based tool allowing consumers to learn about CareCredit products, apply for a credit card, and pay for healthcare services at hundreds of thousands of providers across the CareCredit network. This self-guided experience makes it easy for healthcare providers to offer financing to patients before, during and after service. Back end data integrations also offer a truly seamless experience for the provider and patient to get the service they need--whether they are applying and paying in-office or from the comfort of their own home.

The CSS product owner will lead 2-3 agile teams in the coordination and delivery of key products and capabilities, responsible for leading all team activities to bring our solution to market. This includes, but not limited to, partnering with technology program leaders, driving the agile execution of overall product development, and partnering with cross functional teams to ensure alignment, focus and execution across multiple products and capabilities. The product owner will coordinate testing and launch plans as well as provide regular updates to the Product Management Team. A solid technology and operational background, combined with the ability to work closely with cross functional support teams including product managers and internal business leaders while managing implementation, are critical job requirements. This Product Owner should be skilled in the agile framework, able to lead several teams, comfortable with ambiguity, can operate in a fast moving, agile environment, and is a team player that collaborates well cross functionally.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • As product owner for the consumer self service platforms and payment portal, you will work closely with product managers to understand the customer's needs and convey that to the development teams via feature details and user stories

  • You will ensure the team remains focused on the most valuable work through backlog and sprint-level prioritization, and act as the customer advocate within the development team as you build, launch, and iterate on new capabilities in order to deliver quality products and experiences

  • Gather and analyze feature requirements and distill the Acceptance Criteria into user stories

  • Define and prioritize the product and sprint backlog and lead refinement sessions

  • Collaborate with other members of the broader team to act as a subject matter expert on the content integrations when defining and capturing requirements for the Scrum Team

  • Participate in estimation and work planning with the Scrum Master, and manage the product release process

  • Review and accept development work for completeness against requirements and for overall customer experience pre and post-launch

  • Participate in discovery sessions for new features and projects and contribute domain knowledge and technical expertise

  • Set sprint goals for the team, track deliverable timelines and communicate delivery dates to stakeholders

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree OR in lieu of degree; high school diploma/GED and 7+ years of Digital Project and/or product management experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of project management experience, preferably Agile / IT Project Management

Desired Characteristics:

  • Credit card, consumer finance, payments, financial services, or retail services industry experience.

  • 3+ years familiarity with agile framework and experience working with agile development teams, processes, and tools (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Demonstrated project and product management skills with strong attention to detail

  • Flexible, high energy, proactive self-starter

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with little supervision

  • Able to build consensus across cross functional teams and matrix organizations, strong communication skills

  • Familiarity with current digital design standards and user experiences

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
