Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. Mechanical Maintenance Apprentice in Coshocton, Ohio
Cleveland-Cliffs is currently seeking Mechanical Maintenance Apprentices at our Coshocton, Ohio plant. Mechanical Maintenance Apprentices will go through an 18 month state certified training program and obtain a mechanical maintenance journeyman license after successfully completing the program.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Attend 600+ hours of classroom training along with on-the-job training during the 18 month program
Maintain operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and equipment
May work alone or assist in performing mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance as required
Be responsive to maintenance calls and troubleshoot mechanical issues as they occur
Provide assistance with operating functions as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Meet minimum assessment standards to be enrolled in a state certified mechanical maintenance apprenticeship program
Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality
Ability to read, understand, and follow operating instructions and procedure manuals
Effective communication (verbal and written), math and measurement skills.
Willingness and availability to work rotating shifts 24 hours a day, seven days a week including holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant work experience
Solid understanding of mechanical maintenance principles
