Minimum/Required Qualifications Completed Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in Forestry, Tree Improvement, Plant Genetics, or other closely related field and relevant experience to either Forestry or a plant breeding program. Life experience, training, or education that demonstrates a commitment to promoting the values and mission articulated in the College of Forestry\'s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Strategic Plan. Effective interpersonal and communication skills that enable collaboration with a broad spectrum of students, teachers, researchers, natural resource professionals, public officials, and external groups such as industry and family forest owners, tribes, and agencies. Demonstrated ability to teach courses in forest biology, forestry, and applied genetics and to mentor students. Research or project experience with interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary collaboration. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in the development and implementation of research projects that benefit forest stakeholders in the PNW. Demonstrated experience with tree breeding programs or tree genetics research. Demonstrated ability to provide technical transfer to a diverse audience. Demonstrated ability or potential to work with external groups. Demonstrated ability to engage others with respect, thoughtfulness, and good will. For individuals seeking the rank of Associate Professor: Candidate should meet the OSU teaching, advising, research, and service criteria for appointment at the desired rank (see the OSU Faculty Handbook for details).
