Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor\'s degree in Medical Technology; OR a Bachelor\'s degree in Chemical or Microbiology plus one year of experience in a clinical laboratory performing a variety of standard testing and examination procedures under general supervision in support of professional medical laboratory personnel; OR two years of experience equivalent to a Medical Laboratory Technician 2 in a clinical laboratory performing a variety of standard testing and examination procedures under general supervision in support of professional medical laboratory personnel. Additional Required Qualifications Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), H.E.W, or equivalent. Work history of excellent customer service skills. Ability to perform phlebotomy. Experience with a variety of automated and manual testing methodologies. Current basic life support certification, or the ability to obtain this within 60 days of hiring. Proficiency in navigating Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Ability to work independently after fully trained. Ability to prioritize work and multitask, work at a rapid pace with multiple interruptions and frequent re-prioritization of workload.
