Job Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Administrative Program Assistant position for the Office of Scholarships at Oregon State University ( OSU ).
As a member of the Office of Scholarships, the Administrative Program Assistant will provide exceptional customer service to all those who call, email, or visit the Scholarship Office. The primary purpose of this position is to provide prospective and current students, Staff and faculty and other visitors with quality customer service via emails, phone calls, and in person. They will also assist the Assistant Director managing the University Scholarship Program ( USP ) processes with communication to students, troubleshooting enrollment and disbursement discrepancies, and responding to questions in the scholarship office inbox. This position will assist with the processing of documents, and will apply state, system, university, and office regulations and requirements, while also exercising independent judgement. all work is carried out under pressure of deadlines, fluctuating workload and changes in regulations, policies, and procedures. Work requires a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail when working with high volumes of data.

What We Require
Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.
What You Will Need
Customer service experience, specifically in a high paced work environment where there are constant interruptions to the daily tasks/projects assigned.
Experience answering a high volume of phone calls and emails.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written format with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences.
Experience with a fast-paced, time sensitive environment and be able to multi-task and stay focused.
Experience in providing and receiving information in person, by phone, or electronically.
Must be competent in Microsoft Windows, Email, Word Processing, and spreadsheets. Able to independently research, assess, and retrieve information from the internet.
Ability to sit at a keyboard/computer/workstation for the majority of a workday and type 50+ words per minute.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
What We Would Like You to Have
Experience with Student Information systems and CRM systems, such as Banner and Slate.
Experience working in Financial Aid, Admissions or scholarships.
Able to explain information regarding specific programs or services provided by the University.
Fluent in a second language, preferably Spanish.
