Robert Half Senior Manager of Human Resources in Cortland, New York

Description

Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Cortland client of his on a newly created Senior Manager of Human Resources position. This company has great benefits and a lot of flexibility. This is a low turnover department and there is an opportunity for vertical growth. If you have strong employee relation experience, that will be key for this role.

The Senior Manager of Human Resources will help lead the HR department’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals. This role will involve driving talent management processes and fostering a positive organizational culture. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR management, a strategic mindset, and the ability to navigate complex HR issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Planning:

  • Help develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business objectives and recommend HR solutions to support organizational goals.

Employee Relations:

  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

  • Promote a positive work environment through effective conflict resolution and proactive communication.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and consistency across the organization.

  • Stay updated on employment laws and regulations and ensure the company remains compliant.

HR Analytics and Reporting:

  • Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.

  • Utilize data to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and make recommendations for enhancements.

    Requirements

• Proven track record in managing employee relations.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Familiarity with compliance regulations and guidelines.
