Guthrie Radiologic Technologist - per diem - walk in clinic in Cortland, New York

Position Summary: Operates x‐ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.

Education, License & Certification:

Graduation of an ARRT accredited Radiologic Technology program and must obtain ARRT certification within 6 months of employment.

OR a graduate from an ARRT non-accredited program and must provide ARRT certification prior to employment.

NYS Radiologic Technologist License or NYS Radiologic Technologist Temporary Permit required for positions in New York State.

Experience: Prefer six months to one‐year experience.

Essential Functions: 1. Performs diagnostic radiologic procedures. 2. Adjusts x‐ray equipment to correct setting for each examination. 3. Positions and instructs patients on proper positioning needed for each exam (view). 4. Arranges, attaches, or adjusts immobilization and supportive devices, such as sandbags, binders and angle boards to obtain precise positions. 5. Selects proper position for each view taken. 6. Positions x‐ray equipment at proper distance and angle from patient’s body to present clear and undistorted view of area being radiographed. 7. Performs appropriate QC on images generated prior to submission to the Radiologist. This includes accurate labeling of the right or left side, patient name, B# (MRN), date and time, as well as technique. 8. Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in CR (Computer Radiology) or DR (Digital Radiology) as required. 9. Knowledge in the correct use of Radiology Information system (EPIC Radiant) and PACS system (McKesson). 10. Provides for patient’s modesty, comfort and privacy.

Other Duties: 1. Provides direct care to patients of all ages and interacts with family members as needed.

Salary Min $25.10 Max 39.77 Per diem Contract rate will apply
