Job Summary and Qualifications
The Imaging Administrator is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, documenting, and improving the overall health and performance of division imaging systems in both the radiology and cardiology domains across the enterprise. The imaging administrator operates participates in the resolution of complex issues regarding imaging applications. When needed, the imaging administrator is capable of troubleshooting with vendors, assisting in gathering information for budget and strategic planning, and serving as a primary contact point for issues that surface in the imaging space.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support
Radiology and Cardiovascular system support and vendor support interaction
Capable of problem effort participation
Worklist management/configuration and
Archive queue monitoring
Modality Integration (not configuration)
Image Sharing systems support and integrations troubleshooting (EHR, 3rd party, etc)
Product Management
Inventory creation and maintenance
Compliance (security, system configurations, version control)
Refresh execution
Data quality monitoring
QA processes are in place in each division, backups are occurring in accordance with HCA policy, PACShealth scores remain at target levels, and
Strategy
Contributes to acquisition and divestiture planning and tracking
Contributes to imaging and related product strategies
Capable of planning and facilitating Architecture Review (ARC) process
Develops and implements plans to improve division imaging monthly operations measurements (MOR)
CHARACTERISTICS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
Initiative: Consistently and proactively drives projects to completion. Has a comprehensive understanding of enterprise clinical imaging strategies and identifies opportunities to enhance the strategies. Demonstrates progress in learning relevant new areas in imaging technology.
Expertise: Capable of analyzing complex problems, developing complete, comprehensive, and (when needed) creative solutions.
Organization: Capable of managing multiple bodies of work, communicates & escalates proactively. Proactively communicates status to stakeholders and supervisors at regular intervals and in repeatable, concise format.
Independent: Only needs minimal, supervision to complete projects or goals.
Customer Advocate: Builds relationships with business operations, ITG leaders, vendors, and team members. Collects, tracks, communicates, and resolves enterprise product/vendor issues.
Leadership: Leads by setting examples of learning of new technologies and delivering work that needs minimal changes or oversight. Encourages collaboration, embraces challenges, and effectively communicates in difficult situations.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Relevant clinical imaging system experience including system upgrades and/or administration, interfaces and integration.
Previous clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist or related healthcare profession
Three years previous experience creating and maintaining policies, and extensive reporting.
Experience in large, complex organization or corporate structured environment
Experience leading large multi-disciplinary projects.
Understanding of pertinent JCAHO, HIPAA, STS, ACC, MQSA, ACR and other governing body guidelines
Mature understanding of standards and emerging technologies, specific to imaging applications
Mature understanding of imaging support processes and workflow
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information both verbally and in writing
Preferred:
Understanding of HCA systems and procedures
Experience as an imaging system administrator
Experience operating in HCA division or clinical facilities
Demonstrated customer orientation, excellent leadership and teaching abilities
Demonstrated advanced computer skills
