District Overview

Kiewit Building Group specializes in vertical construction, we build office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, government buildings, science and technology facilities, retail and special-use facilities, and extensive interior construction with tenant improvements. Our capabilities include all facets of construction and engineering including: general contracting, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development.

Job assignment location will be finalized closer to your start date. We offer progressive levels of relocation assistance and reimbursement as your career progresses.

Responsibilities

  • May work in a discipline-specific area on a large project or on a small project overseeing multiple job functions.

  • Support construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing the following functions: safety, quality control, project controls and scheduling, engineering interface, subcontracts and materials management, and purchasing.

  • Assist project management in expediting material deliveries, estimating and processing change orders, preparing monthly billings, and preparing shop drawings.

Qualifications

  • Ability to travel and relocate to small and large cities as business requires.

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in a construction-related field of engineering

  • Positive, can-do attitude.

  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

  • Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.

  • Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt.

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.

  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Experience with leadership in some capacity.

  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

  • Previous internship experience is preferred.

  • Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.

Base Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
