Strike Document Control Specialist in Corpus Christi, Texas

Job Summary:

The Document Control Specialist will coordinate and execute the Document Control processes as defined in the Document Control Procedures and Project Execution plans for assigned projects.

Primary Job Function:

  • Maintain project document/information plan(s) for the project(s), ensuring alignment with in-house processes and procedures as well as client specific requirements.

  • Establish and maintain document control management systems between office and client.

  • Identify/action any project level deviations from the procedures as related to document control.

  • Issue project level document control reports as requested.

  • Recording all incoming and outgoing transmittals and file in accordance with the project file system.

  • Ensure the latest revision of all documents produced for the project are recorded and distributed to all concerned parties.

  • Prepare transmittal of all necessary documents for information, action and/or approval by the client, vendors, contractors and subcontractors.

  • Coordinate and execute final handover of data / documentation (IOMs).

  • Organize and file all documentation between departments on a daily basis.

  • Maintain and submit time worked/ PTO daily to office manager.

    Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of pertinent and relative project experience in Material Management, Expediting, Requisition Processes and Purchase Order development preferred.

  • Experience in Oil & Gas related projects preferred.

    Education/Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

    Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly Excel.

  • Proficient in JD Edwards or other similar ERP.

  • Advanced skills in web collaboration systems, such as SharePoint and/or Live Link.

  • Ability to utilize basic mathematical concepts (add, subtract, multiple, percentages, etc.).

  • Understand electronic data formats and production processes.

  • Understand retention requirements.

  • Experienced in applying and working to departmental and project related procedures.

  • Accuracy, timeliness, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Utilizes organizational skills with good attention to detail and emphasis on quality.

  • Must be a self- starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Displays good written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.

  • Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with the ability to work with diverse personnel and vendors.

    Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, talk and hear.

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to grasp.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
