Graybar National Sales Manager- Data Center in Corporate - Centerpoint, Missouri

As a Strategic Accounts National Sales Manager, you will manage a high performance sales organization to effectively achieve sales, gross margin, and gross margin rate budgets as assigned within the Strategic Accounts organization. You will also be assigned at least one direct account.

In this role you will:

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales budgets for assigned national vertical market

  • Meet and/or exceed assigned revenue and target metric objectives within market

  • Establish overall expertise in the vertical market assignment demonstrated by establishing a clear strategy with growth potential. Attract expertise and talent in the vertical market to ensure an excellent customer experience while being able to capitalize on the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) opportunities at all accounts

  • Manage national supplier relationships, business plans, and contractual agreements; recommend sales and marketing programs, and set short- and long-term sales strategies; serve as senior relationship manager for key customers.

  • Manage Strategic Accounts staff, lead coordination of customer efforts with all departments including National projects team, proposals and implementation team

  • Provide supervision through field visits, observations and measurement of results to include performance evaluations and salary reviews

  • Attend meetings, seminars and conferences as appropriate

  • Establish companywide reputation of vertical expertise; demonstrate value by bringing new revenue streams to the Districts while ensuring national customers

What you bring to the table:

  • 7+ years experience in National Sales and Marketing; 10+ years experience preferred

  • 4 year degree preferred

  • Knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry and export business including pricing, quotes, logistics, and export compliance

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and practices

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • Organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Negotiation and results oriented skills

  • Ability to leverage resources effectively and make fact based decisions using appropriate information

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers

  • Ability to collaborate with branch and district management

  • Extensive travel required

Compensation Details:

  • The expected rate of pay for this position is starting at $157,000 annually depending on experience.

  • This position is also bonus eligible - based on specific and relevant business metrics.
