Location

This position is 100% in-office and reports to our facility on-site in Corona, CA (Must be local or willing to relocate at your own expense).

Role Summary

At Rapid Response Monitoring Services, we are on the cutting edge of enterprise technology, operating a state-of-the-art data center that powers critical monitoring services for our clients. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with the latest networking hardware and software from industry leaders like Cisco, f5 Networks, Pure Storage, and Palo Alto Networks.

As the backbone of our data center operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless performance and security of our network. Your expertise will be essential in managing and optimizing our complex infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and other mission-critical networking equipment.

Salary Range

$130,000 per year - $160,000 per year based upon experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the lifecycle of all network hardware and software components

  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues in support of a 99.999% uptime SLA

  • Monitor and analyze network performance metrics to identify and address bottlenecks

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain network devices and systems

  • Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network-related projects and initiatives

  • Serve as a key player in incident response and problem resolution

  • Participate in on-call rotations and be available for emergency after-hours support

  • Share knowledge and experience with junior team members through both planned and impromptu training

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or Palo Alto Networks PCNSE

  • Bachelor-s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in network engineering or a similar role

  • Extensive experience with enterprise networking technologies and protocols (OSPF, BGP, QoS, etc.)

  • In-depth knowledge of network security, virtualization, and storage concepts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information

  • Many of our positions require an extra level of screening to obtain Department of Defense security clearance
