Generac Power Systems General Manager Director in Corona, California

The General Manager - Director position in Corona, CA is responsible for Energy Systems’ service, rental, and parts department, associated people, facilities, and assets, growth, and overall performance. This will include managing the overall workflow, customer base, cross-departmental execution of duties, and full P&L responsibility. This position is responsible for implementing and continuously improving operating processes and procedures while fostering Energy System’s customer-focused culture.

Major Responsibilities

  • Design strategy and set goals for growth

  • Full P&L responsibility for the assigned branches. Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.

  • Management of office personnel, assets, and facilities

  • Management of service, rental, and parts business operations

  • Ensure jobs/work orders are completed on time and within quoted amounts and timeframes

  • Collaboratively develop processes and procedures that align with the financial and operational goals of the company

  • Developing a team culture

  • Ensure excellent customer service

  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally

  • Oversee recruitment and training of new employees

  • Direct the employee assessment process

  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

  • Maintain knowledge of generator system technology, including competitive industries

  • Prepare regular reports for upper management

Minimum Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors degree in related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Experience

  • 10 years of operations management experience (Industrial equipment or like Industry preferred)

  • 10 years of management experience with direct reports (management of service operations and personnel preferred)

  • Operations experience in a service company is required

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role

  • Experience in planning and budgeting

  • Knowledge of business processes and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations, legal, etc.)

  • Strong analytical ability

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills

  • Problem-solving aptitude

Compensation : Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual pay range for this role based in Corona, CA is $151,200/yr - $241,900/yr . This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
