Scope of Position
Provide project leadership excellence within a division project management and engineering group leading facility capital projects from start to finish.
Deliver and maintain excellent project communications within the project team and organization
Effectively forecast project schedule and spending
Help improve and maintain our Corning PM processes and procedures
Effectively lead, interface, and communicate within the project team, operations and supporting organizations
Solve technically complex problems within facility equipment, systems, and quality areas for WPS
Day to Day Responsibilities
Deliver strong project leadership thru the project initiation, planning, implementation, and closeout phases
Develop project scopes, estimates, schedules, and AR budget documentation
Develop and deliver clear and concise project presentations to leadership
Exercise sound judgment, solid engineering principles and utilize structured problem-solving techniques
Lead, coach, and help develop and train others
Ability to multitask, lead multiple projects and actively work in project teams in various roles and capacities
Effectively listen and communicate utilizing multiple channels and means
Experiences/Education - Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or equivalent
8+ years of engineering & professional work experience
Excellent project leadership, presentation, communication, and organizational skills
Excellent soft leadership, interpersonal and team building skills
Proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
Proficient in SharePoint, Teams, and collaborative workspace environments
Project estimating, cost control and scheduling experience
Able to apply project leadership and technical principles to help solve problems and achieve results
Problem solving skills and the use of structured methods, such as, K-T (DA, PPA, RA), DESGN & DMAIC
Desired & Soft Skills
Master's degree preferred
Corning Capital COE project experience and certifications
Professional Engineering Certification
PMI Certification
Results oriented
Travel Requirements (please note if international):
- Travel within the Corning valley area to Corning facilities required.
This position does not support immigration sponsorship.
The range for this position is $97,542.00 - $134,121.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
