Actalent Geotechnical Project Manager in Cornelius, North Carolina

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of geotechnical projects from inception to completion. This includes planning and executing geotechnical investigations, conducting site characterization studies, designing and implementing geotechnical solutions, and preparing technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.

  • Lead and mentor teams of engineers and technicians.

  • Design and implement geotechnical investigations and provide recommendations based on findings.

  • Prepare geotechnical reports and provide technical advice to clients and team members.

  • Interpret soil, rock, and materials testing results and make design recommendations.

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

  • Develop project proposals, budgets, and schedules, and monitor project costs.

  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure project compliance with design and safety standards.

  • Stay up-to-date with current industry standards, technology, and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and project management.

  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present geotechnical data.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
