The Cornell School District is in Need For Substitute Paraprofessionals for the 2024 - 2025 School Year

Precision HR Solutions is partnered with the Cornell School District in Coraopolis, PA and currently searching at least two (2) "Full-time Substitute Paraprofessionals" to work with students in grades PK-12. These positions will usually have the candidates working 1:1 with a special education and special needs student at the Elementary School, Monday - Friday, 8am - 3:30pm

Paraprofessionals:

• Assist in the reinforcement of previous instruction or to reinforce the implementation of an existing behavior plan for students as directed.
• Assist with the development and implementation of collaborative practices to help support services for students as needed and required.
• Assist student(s) with activities of daily living including (in some instances) hygiene and toileting; meeting/greeting some students at the bus or van and accompanying them to and from classes; helping them navigate lunch lines; etc.
• This is not an exhaustive list of potential responsibilities. There are additional assigned duties and responsibilities as directed. 

Pay rate: $11/hour

Clearances required within the last year:

• PA Criminal Background Check
• PA Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI fingerprints through the Dept. of Education
• Act 126 Clearance (online Mandated Reporter training) 
• Arrest/Conviction Record form (Act 24) and Act 168 clearance (Precision will provide these forms for the candidates to complete)
• Pre-employment physical and TB test required (neither should be more than 1 year old)

Additional Requirements: 

• It is preferred candidates have some experience (at least 1 -3 months) working with children in grades PK-12.  
• All interested candidates must have either a high school diploma or GED.
