Job Description

• We are currently hiring for field or project engineers to work on a variety of projects including sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater facilities, water distribution facilities, site work, and grading.

• The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent and must be open to doing field work.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the client, the contractor, and the office engineer.

• Serve as the engineering representative onsite whenever the contractor is performing work.

• Observe and report to ensure the work is being done according to specifications.

• Complete daily construction reports on a tablet to record activities and material quantities used each day.

• Contact the project engineer and assist in resolving any issues that arise on site.

• Conduct field observation for construction quantification for payment.

Essential Skills

• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent

• Experience with civil engineering, land development, inspection, stormwater, and site development

• Proficiency in Environmental Engineering, design, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Civil 3D

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Civil or Environmental Engineering Degree

• Previous engineering internship experience

Work Environment

• The role offers a hybrid schedule with one day a week working from home. Initially, the engineer will be in the field for 6-18 months depending on project progress. There is an opportunity to transition into a designer role based on individual interests.

• The engineer will drive to project sites daily, within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh, and may not need to come into the office, leaving straight from home. Mileage reimbursements are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
