Robert Half Accounting Manager in Coppell, Texas

Description We are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager for a short-term contract opportunity in Coppell, Texas. As an integral part of our team, you will be working within the industry, executing various accounting functions, including managing General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable using QuickBooks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger

• Provide a sound understanding and application of GAAP in all accounting activities

• Utilize QuickBooks to perform accounting tasks efficiently and accurately

• Handle billing functions and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly

• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met

• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

• Maintain a coherent system of accounts, and a supporting set of comprehensive controls and budgets.

• Continually improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

• Coordinate with the team to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and procedures. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting management role or similar position.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems for efficient and accurate financial processing.

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in handling all Accounting Functions including but not limited to budgeting, auditing, and financial forecasting.

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment and invoicing.

• Experience in handling Billing Functions, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software for accounting purposes, including inputting financial data, generating reports, and checking for accuracy.

• Thorough understanding and application of GAAP Accounting principles in all accounting tasks and processes.
