JOB SUMMARY:Under the direction of our Engineering Manager or a Project Manager an Engineer Intern in manufacturing provides basic engineering analysis and support on a variety of plant-wide projects.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop various equipment and work standards

• Work with operations leaders on training aids as required

• Research, develop and document material balances and various efficiency standards

• Investigate current minor equipment stoppages and document solutions

• Other projects, task and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements • Working on a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college with a minimum 3.0 GPA (will be verified) • Engineering student • 0 to 3 years’ experience. • Previous internship experience is a plus. • Successful completion of EIT exam highly desirable. • Strong problem solving skills. • Understanding of DOE principals. • Very capable in use of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) • Enthusiasm for the opportunity and willingness to go beyond the responsibilities identified • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong initiative, self-starter and highly motivated • Ability to manage multiple projects • Ability to work independently and in a team and perform well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Confidence to work with and influence senior team members • Available for a 20+ hours/week internship
