Conway Medical Center Accounts Receivable Specialist in Conway, South Carolina

Position Summary:*

The Accounts Receivable Specialist (ARS) is responsible for billing, follow up and collections of all professional claims for assigned service area and/or payer must be able to identify and resolve claim edits and denials through understanding of billing guidelines and payer requirements. The ARS will be responsible for ensuring house collection of past due receivables, insufficient funds checks, specifically calling customers, sending invoices, collection notices as well as maintain relationships with legal and collection agencies for outsourced collections. The ARS will track and report Accounts Receivable to the Director of CPG Revenue Cycle. The ARS oversees daily batch payments, credit card processing, batching, reporting and chargebacks and is responsible for local bank deposits, reconciliation and remote scanning of checks. The ARS will track bank deposits from satellite branches to ensure accuracy and manage daily payment discrepancy resolutions with customers and medical offices. The ARS will complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Assessment of overall credit worthiness by review of a consumer credit report is required.

Education:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associates degree in business related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in insurance processes and billing guidelines and regulations required.
  • Prior billing experience in a physician office preferred.
