Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Operations/Security Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Cloud architecture typically revolving around the key pillars Operational Excellence, Performance Efficiency, Reliability, Security & Cost. Operational & Security best practices, and the ability to implement, and maintain secure cloud environments. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients to drive business growth.
This position is 100% work at home.
Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management: ( In house & customers )
Implement: Build, and implement enterprise-class cloud solutions for Inhouse and a variety of clients in Azure and AWS
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring solutions and regularly maintain the cloud environment to ensure optimal performance.
Incident Response: Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.
Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud costs to ensure efficient use of resources and budget.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with development and IT teams to align cloud operations with business goals.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to continuously improve the cloud environment.
Work closely with clients to architect and implement cloud solutions that meet their business requirements and align with their IT strategy.
Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects.
Assist in the migration of data, applications, and services to the cloud.
Create architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and models that illustrate the necessary cloud solutions.
Cloud Security posture Management (CSPM)
Vulnerability scanning and threat assessment.
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
Security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR)
Data protection.
Identity and Access Management.
Cloud technical security consultancy to external customers.
Travel Requirements: 10% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
Build, enhance, and maintain platforms supporting our best operational & security Practice services.
Support and advise SecOps team and other senior roles on security trends, opportunities, and strategy.
Development of tooling that enhances the operational security of our and our customers’ platforms.
Creation of reference implementations of security-related tooling and frameworks, particularly for the AWS, Azure, and M365 ecosystems.
Mentor and lead other SecOps engineers in day-to-day activities.
Maintain good awareness of the operational security practices, tools, and strategies of vendors and partners relevant to the practice.
Support technical presales activities for the Ops/Sec Practice for external offerings.
Working with partners and industry bodies to increase the prominence of as a provider of Cloud services.
Work with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure security strategy is delivered.
Ensures vulnerabilities are managed by the completion of periodic vulnerability scans of networks and subsequent remedial action by supporting teams.
Evaluate security incidents and coordinate responses.
creating Cloud based infrastructure as per business requirements and within the company framework.
Address various types of alerts that monitor systems health and report any issues to Cloud Delivery team to resolve and/or escalate to the right teams.
Collaborate and work with DEV team to deploy newer version patches/fixes for vulnerabilities for cloud servers.
Managing full AWS/Azure Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security
Migrating existing on-premises applications to AWS/Azure cloud.
Setting up and administering multi-tier workload environments
Configure and fine-tune cloud infrastructure systems (account/regions/zones etc.)
Perform cloud platform level software upgrades.
Investigate and resolve security violations by providing initial analysis to illuminate the issue, identify causes, workable solutions, and preventative measures.
Develop and maintain documentation for security systems and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience
While we expect mostly standard business hours for this role (servicing ET and CT), this is a global team and this candidate should be comfortable with a schedule change at the needs of the business (occasional earlier/later shifts and some weekends).
Occasional travel will be required as is necessary to meet the needs of the business/partners/clients
4+ years of working experience as a Cloud operations & Security Engineer.
4+ years of experience in cloud technologies, especially in AWS & Azure, ·with overall cloud computing experience of 8-10 years.
Experience in developing & implementing SecOps practices.
Experience in creating Cloud based infrastructure as per business requirements and within the company framework.
Experience in creating infrastructure within secure VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) of AWS / Vnets in Azu re.
Relevant professional certifications are advantageous and should be held or actively worked towards.

knowledge of Data protection, encryption, network security, Security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), compliance standards, and cloud architecture, CSPM & SIEM/SOAR tools.
Understanding of Security Governance & compliance, Industry standards & regulations like ISO, CIS, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA etc....
Consultative approach to sales, focusing on understanding the customer's unique security needs and challenges. Ask probing questions to uncover pain points and tailor Security solutions to address them effectively.
Industry Knowledge about industry trends, emerging threats, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape in cloud security.
Designing and implementing secure cloud architectures with industry best practices and organizational requirements.
Security Testing and Assessment: Proficiency in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning of cloud environments to identify security weaknesses and assess the effectiveness of existing security controls. Consultants should be able to interpret test results, prioritize remediation efforts, and provide recommendations for improving security posture.
