POSITION:

Case Worker

DUTIES:

> Main responsibility is to work with families and protect children and adults from situations of abuse, neglect and other forms of maltreatment. > Duties include Intake and/or ongoing social casework services to families/adults. > Ensure social, physical psychological and emotional well-being of their clients. > Conduct home visits to investigate allegations of abuse or neglect, providing assessments to determine whether a parent of guardian is fit to provide care, evaluation whether a child/adult should be temporarily or permanently removed from the living situation and find or determine an appropriate placement. > Completing court reports and attending court hearings is a crucial part of the job. > Will be working in an office setting. > Will also work in a variety of conditions at homes and residences while investigating. > May be exposed to a variety of conditions in which employee must be alert and aware of surroundings and safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

> Must be able to pass extensive background check with no issues, pass initial and random drug tests, and have valid driver's license. > Must have bachelor's degree in human services or related field. > Must have excellent computer skills and people skills. Will be on a rotating on-call schedule. > When on-call there is to be no travel more than an hour away from the county, and must be available for emergencies at all hours of the day for that week.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

> Attention to detail and observant, able to meet deadlines and complete paperwork. > Experience of one year or more is preferred, but not mandatory.

WAGE:

$42,500.00 annually.

SHIFTS:

> Monday through Friday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. > Additional and varied hours and days will be required while on-call. > This job will be 40 hours per week, or more.
