Job Description Temporary workers will be extensively involved in the Baker Fish and Wildlife program. Duties are to care for fish stock through all stages of their life cycle as well as operating the facilities that support this endeavor. This includes observing, recording and taking follow-through actions to implement fish and wildlife management programs, safely handling and transporting fish, monitoring and maintaining fish and wildlife environments, performing daily operations and daily, routine operation of fish handling systems and equipment and reporting needed maintenance. Operate motor vehicles in a safe, professional, and courteous manner in accordance with Company Policy requirements (CP #16) and Department of Transportation regulations. This job is considered "safety sensitive" as defined in RCW 49.44.240 and is subject to pre-employment drug screening that includes screening for the presence of marijuana and marijuana metabolites. Job Responsibilities This is a temporary position that works under the direction and/or supervision of a Technician or Lead. Duties include performing general work as assigned to buildings and grounds necessary to the various sites. Perform similar and incidental duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Applicant must be 18 years of age and have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to operate small-motorized equipment (lawnmower, weed-whacker, pressure washer, etc.) and hand tools. The position may also perform painting. EP Temporary Worker II Basic qualifications- After a cumulative total of 6 months as a Temporary Worker, demonstration of satisfactory job performance and upon completion of appropriate training as required by Labor/Management Training Committee (LMTC). EP Temporary Worker III Basic qualifications - After a cumulative total of 12 months as a Temporary Worker, demonstration of satisfactory job performance and upon completion of appropriate training as required by LMTC. Employees must have a working knowledge and comply with all Company standards, policies, practices and State and Federal regulations as they pertain to the job. Desired Qualifications Additional Information The duties and responsibilities are generally performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. The position involves sitting, standing, walking, moderate to heavy lifting, moderate carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, balancing and climbing, operation of small motorized equipment and hand tools. Performance of the position requires working in a varied indoor and outdoor environments such as all weather conditions, all noise levels, hazardous conditions and on the full range of outdoor work surfaces. The use of personal protective devices and safety equipment is required. May require driving Company vehicles and equipment. We will be hiring a total of 8 candidates from this opening wtih a targeted start date of Monday, March 31st, 2025. The pay range for this position is$22.00-$30.82.
