The pay range for this position is $15.62 - $20.39 per hour
The State of New Hampshire, Department of Safety, Office of the Commissioner has a part-time vacancy for Secretary II, SOC Title 43-6010 ADMIN ASSTS-2. This position is part time, which cannot exceed 29.5 hours per work week and does not offer insurance benefits.
SUMMARY:Provides secretarial support to the Department of Safetys Bureau of Hearings including scheduling hearings, processing case records and reception duties.

18 Months or 1.5 Years of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree
36 Months or 3 Years of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree
54 Months or 4.5 Years of additional relevant experience = Master's degree
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:High school diploma or high school equivalency credential. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience:Two years of experience in a secretarial position, one year of which shall have been at the level of Secretary I or its equivalent.
License/Certification:None required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Selected candidate will undergo a fingerprint based criminal background check and motor vehicle record check in order to ensure suitability for exposure to confidential information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates and schedules all types of administrative hearings and inputs hearing results into database.
Answers telephone calls and provides information concerning hearings and directs inquiries to the proper resources both within, and when necessary, outside the agency.
Receives and sort daily incoming mail and distribute appropriately to include all supporting documentation contained within.
Distributes hearings to hearings examiners and respond to basic questions posed by individuals present for hearings.
Greets individuals reporting for hearings and prepare preliminary documents for hearings examiners while organizing and expediting flow of the case docket.
Communicates orally and in writing with the circuit and superior courts to coordinate and verify NH law to ensure habitual offender and other driving and hearing records are accurate and complete.
Prepares reports, memos, letters, testimony, findings of fact, conclusions of law and hearing decisions utilizing information contained within systems and databases.
Reviews and catalogues certified records of individuals subject to hearings.
Ensures that the integrity of all records, whether written or electronic, is safeguarded and the confidentiality of these same records is protected.
