CBRE has partnered with a major oil, gas and energy client to provide End to End Project Management Consultancy services for development of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure across the Americas.

The Project Manager is responsible to meet End-to-End Project execution and Management of contractors, Quality, and Cost/budget supporting delivery of the Customer Value Proposition.

  • Hybrid in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, or Dallas, TX.

What you’ll do:

  • Spend approximately 5% of time on sites for assurance, audit compliance, validating safety delivery and ensuring suppliers are performing as expected and proactively managing project delivery.

  • Successfully manage Small to Medium scale projects (EV Charging installations), assuring E2E project completion by following project execution plans under supervision by the client and/or a CBRE Program Leader.

  • Manages all facets of project management for electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure projects, including pre-project safety and risk analysis, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, quality control, and risk management.

  • Demonstrates the capability to read, understand, and apply standard and complex documents related to EV projects, such as agreements/contracts, work letters, project charters, surveys, and EV-specific drawings.

  • Interfaces directly clients to define project requirements for EV infrastructure installations.

  • Prepares the scope of work, identifies resource requirements for project delivery, estimates costs and budgets, manages cash flow, develops work plans and schedules, ensures quality control, and identifies risks associated with EV projects.

  • Identifies qualified project delivery resources for EV projects, either from pre-qualified lists or through a project qualification process. Conducts requests for proposals (RFPs) ranging from standard to complex, completes bid analysis, leads evaluation interviews, and recommends suitable resources to clients for EV projects.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS Engineering) from an accredited university or 5 years of construction project management in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial construction project management.

  • Experience within an oil and gas project environment preferred. Secondary considerations include experience with EV charger installations and/or high volume, fast-paced retail programs that include civil and/or ground-up scope.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $145,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance .
