Merrimack County Savings Bank (The Merrimack)is seeking a friendly and motivated individual for an educational career growth banking opportunity as aBank Teller Apprentice.This full-time opportunity is based out of our Integra Drive branch inConcord, NHand would include travel to our other Concord, NH branch locations, resulting in a more diverse experience.

OurBankTeller Apprenticemust complete 2,000 hours (minimum of 1 year) of competency based, on-the-job learning and 148.75 hours of related instruction. Upon successful completion and demonstration of competency in all required training areas, will allow for Application for Certification of Completion of Apprenticeship through the United States Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• On track to graduate high school or high school diploma or equivalency
• Previous related experience and/or training in a customer service environment
• Intermediate use of desktop applications
• Strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to work rotating Saturdays
• Ability to travel between branch locations as needed

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Processcustomer deposits, account withdrawals, cashing checks, issuing bank and travelers checks, issuing and redeeming savings bonds and processing loan payments
• Promotes and sells bank products and services to new and existing customers
• Responds to questions and resolve problems or concerns for customers effectively and efficiently
