Part-Time Event Supervisor
Job Title: Event Supervisor – Part-Time
Department: Event Services
Reports To: Event Services Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt; Part-time
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Event Services Manager, the Event Supervisor’s primary responsibilities and essential duties include the following functions:
Serves as a liaison between clients and facility departments.
Determines needs and activates solutions for event success when or if the Event Management or senior leadership teams are not onsite.
Regularly serves as the senior on-site venue representative charged with making and implementing improvised decisions about all aspects of venue operations, event services, staff direction/supervision, and guest services.
Monitors in-house events, maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff to ensure successful events. Follows-up on all client and guest requests, concerns, and problems.
Attends appropriate planning, organization, and other event or facility meetings in support of facility operations.
May be responsible for helping with setup, breakdowns, and changes for events.
Implement and follow all policies/procedures, risk management, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established by venue.
Ability to lead changeover, custodians, event staff and F&B staff during event activities.
Able to work flexible hours including weekday evenings, weekdays and holidays.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur. Be able to work independently, exercising judgement and initiative.
Ensure appropriate management members are aware of significant issues/opportunities encountered during events.
All other necessary duties as assigned.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to pass a background by corporate minimum requirements.
Education & Experience:
One to two years in related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of the principles of event and venue management, services, and equipment in a similar environment.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Demonstrate problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work under limited supervision and to interact with all levels of staff including management.
Strong in-person customer services experience.
Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Certificates, Licenses and/or Registrations:
Ability to obtain any license, certificates or training required by local, state, or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility.
