Responsibilities Focuses on relevant financial and operating metrics. Manages restricted funds to ensure assets are appropriately retained, released, and reported. Ensures accurate reporting of all subsidiaries. Oversees the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Manages the day-to-day accounting operations and creates an effective organizational structure. Directs accounting related operations including accounts receivable, reconciliations, and service contracts. Establishes and oversees accounting practices and policies, internal control framework, spend controls, and financial audits. Reviews and evaluates transactions to determine appropriate treatment and compliance with written policies and procedures. Determines account valuations while reconciling balance sheet accounts and proposes adjustments. Ensures that bank activity/transactions are properly posted to the general ledger and bank accounts are reconciled. Leads efforts to drive technological advancements within the department, including the implementation of new systems. Manages patient care net revenue estimation, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and chargemaster strategy. Ensures accurate fund flow between the hospital and Partners for Kids and oversees timely invoice payments through the ERP system and ACH tools. Oversees all financial audits, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Prepares department for compliance reviews and audits. Coordinates audits, stays updated on regulatory changes, and implements policies to mitigate risks. Provides financial and analytical support to organization-wide strategic initiatives; represents the accounting and controllership functions. Actively participates on committees as necessary.
