This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Job Accountabilities: Proactively lead the collaborative efforts with Content technology and operation teams to achieve strategic objectives and align with business goals to enhance the quality of the deliverables. Drive proactive engagement with key partners/publishers to build innovative solutions, design the requirement, mitigate risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Foster strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, including Content Operations, Technology, Data Analytics & Insights, and Product Management, to drive innovation and career growth. Oversee the analysis of large-scale content data, collaborating with SMEs to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within chemistry/Ls domains. influences the strategic alignment of technical solutions with organizational priorities for critical domains, such as reaction, substance, document, and publisher archives. Strategically lead the testing and development of software applications, services, systems, and APIs, aligning with our content curation vision to deliver high-quality CAS content, content pipelines, tools, and workflow solutions. Influence the development of reusable frameworks and components for content-processing pipelines, enabling advanced search and display of chemical information. Develop comprehensive end-to-end views of testing processes and capabilities, driving the creation of future-state roadmaps aligned with strategic goals. Steer the agile based (SDLC) development and execution of robust test strategies and plans, collaborating with the team to identify and prioritize testing needs based on thorough risk assessments. Prioritize and sequence delivery against critical business requirements to support content flow and maximize business value. Influence the development of cutting-edge test automation, deployment automation, and observability solutions, aligning with the strategic vision for Content Technology. Drive the continuous innovation of the existing CI/CD platform. Analyze and interpret test results to identify critical defects and performance bottlenecks. Leads the defect management process by tracking of defects using bug tracking tools. Lead performance and security testing initiatives to ensure the reliability and security of the software. Drive continuous learning and development for the team, staying abreast of the latest technology trends. Mentor and guide a team of onshore/offshore SDETs, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture. Create impactful presentations and communicate them with organizational leadership as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, computer science, or computer engineering, or equivalent experience. Ph.D. in organic chemistry is highly preferred. 7+ years of SME, requirement analysis, development, and testing knowledge of Reaction and Substance collections is highly preferred. Proficiency with CAS domains like CAplus, Reaction, Substance, Markush, commercial source, Chemlist database, and CAS structure and reaction editors, ChemDoodle, ChemAxon, and Perkin Elmer suite.
