CTL Engineering is hiring a Structural | Bridge Engineer (EI or PE - 3-7 yrs experience)! We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry. We are looking for a Bridge Engineer who will assist in managing bridge engineering projects from conception through completion. Your role will involve designing, analyzing, and evaluating bridge structures to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with ODOT standards and guidelines. You'll leverage your expertise in infrastructure design and creative problem-solving skills while collaborating closely with institutions/municipal agencies. Responsibilities: Engage in bridge design and analysis projects in accordance with ODOT requirements. Perform structural analysis and design for various types of bridge structures, including new constructions, widening and rehabilitations. Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, and specifications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Assist with ensuring projects adhere to budgetary and scheduling constraints. Conduct field inspections and evaluations of existing bridge conditions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ODOT policies, guidelines, and industry best practices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of civil and engineering principles, reporting, analysis and management of teams and projects. Experience in the Construction industry and engineering equipment. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to be a team player. Ability to be reliable and on time. Must have a high level of professionalism, and comfortable with client interaction - have the ability to build relationships. Be quality-minded and client-focused. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree (MSCE) preferred. EI credentialing in Ohio is required. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Ohio is a strong plus but not required. @3-7+ years of experience in bridge engineering, with a focus on ODOT projects. Strong knowledge of ODOT design standards, specifications, and procedures. Proficiency in bridge design software (e.g., LARSA, Merlin Dash, Leap Bridge). Familiarity with detailing software such as Microstation and OpenBridge is a plus. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
