Solution Engineer Principal

Location: 1 Riverside Plaza, Columbus, OH 43215

Job Duties:

Deliver high quality service-oriented architecture-based application integration solutions. Participate in discussions with business analysts , product owners and other application teams to identify requirements, and prepare High level and Low-level design documents in compliance with customer standards. Analyze the current IT portfolio to identify opportunity of improvements such as expanding capacity, reducing complexity, reduce time and cost and increasing effectiveness. Establish or recommend industry wide standards for design, development and deployment of ESB/SOA and webMethods components. Develop and Unit test the Oracle SOA integration APIs using various integration patterns. Develop and deploy Integration job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback framework support operations. Support release management activities, documenting application release notice (ARN), quality assurance testing in pre-production environment, and production deployment. Provide technical guidance to junior team members. Remote (where AEP has presence) work from home policy applies.

Salary Range: $117,416 to $150,755 annually

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field and 7 years of experience in designing and developing integration solutions between multiple ERP/EAI applications that includes 4 years of the following:

  • Building integrations on Oracle SOA Cloud Services, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Software AG webMethods suite.

  • Developing solutions using Oracle SOA Suite, including Oracle Service Bus, MFT, and Coherence Cache with Dual Data Center features.

  • Complex integration projects applying SOA Principles and Integration Patterns on Cloud and On-Premise with respect to SOA Governance practice.

  • Applying design patterns and avoiding anti-patterns.

  • Using APIARY, Swagger 2.0 and Open API 3.0 for API designs.

  • Performing Unit Testing , Integration testing and Support QA & UAT using testing tools including ReadyAPI and Postman.

  • Using CICD tools including Jenkins and FlexDeploy.

  • Preparing proposals and support writing request for proposal (RFP) responses.

  • Change Control Management in ServiceNow.

  • Developing solutions following Agile SCRUM methods.

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities.
