Duties: Perform analysis and define functionality for system improvements and new applications. Design, code, and provide architectural direction for applications following specifications using the appropriate tools. Provide direction in maintaining and modifying existing applications. Perform maintenance programming for existing versions. Perform custom programming at customer request. Set best practices and architecture for appropriate products. Lead in defining and implementing technical direction. Lead and participate in selecting and implementing technical architecture of assigned projects. Perform or review system analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging, and documentation for assigned projects. Work with support and documentation groups to provide technical and user training and manuals for new systems and major system enhancements. Lead process improvement and acts as a catalyst for change. Provide technical leadership to team and department members. Participate on project teams for assigned system projects; analyze improvements and new applications and develop requirements and specifications with team. Investigate replacing current systems with new systems, analyze the adaptability of current operations and consult technical equipment and software vendors, and current users in these evaluations. Lead effort to develop specification, program, and documentation standards. Maintain functional operation of assigned production systems. Coordinate and provide support for appropriate applications. Act as a contributor on projects and drive projects, from a technical standpoint, to independently resolve issues. Make significant contributions to the success of projects by applying demonstrated knowledge. Reports to Columbus, Ohio headquarters but may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Columbus up to five times per year.

Requirements: Requires bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field; 60 months of programming experience, including at least 36 months of programming experience using Boomi; strong written and oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to provide direction and mentorship to other engineers; skills to work with external customers as well as internal teams; and ability to present to executive leadership.
