Primary Responsibilities HDR is currently in need of a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to work as a member of the Water Business Group in our Columbus Ohio office. The successful candidate will be expected to work as a team member for studies and / or detailed design and construction services for pump stations, collection / distribution systems and water / wastewater treatment plants. In the role of Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer, we will count on you to: Independently create detailed designs of pump stations, collection/distribution systems as well as water/wastewater treatment plants. Prepare drawings write specifications, analysis and study-level reports for water and wastewater systems, determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing and selection, and cost estimation. Serve as project manager or assist project managers throughout the design and construction phases of projects. Perform other duties as needed. Keywords: Water, Wastewater, Treatment, Pumpstation, Pipeline, Civil, Environmental, Engineering, Construction, Hydraulic #LI-EH1 Required Qualifications B.S. in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. 10 years of experience preferred. PE (or ability to obtain through reciprocity for Ohio and Kentucky) Experience in evaluating, designing, and/or developing drawings and specifications for water/wastewater treatment facilities and pump station projects is preferred. Ideal candidate is self-motivated, an excellent communicator (written and verbal), attentive to detail, able to work independently and with a project team to the completion of a task. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management software is preferable. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must. Preferred Qualifications M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
