Elevance Health Program Manager in Columbus, Ohio

Program Manager

Location: This position is in Ohio. This is a field position. The selected candidate must reside within 50 miles or one hour commute from a pulse point Elevance Health Location.

Hours: General business hours, Monday through Friday.

Travel: Travels locally to worksite and other locations as necessary.

The Program Manager responsible for the development and ongoing management of one or more multi-year external client facing programs within a business unit.

How you will make an impact:

  • Program managers typically support business strategies through an integrated portfolio of external client facing projects or initiatives.

  • This position specifically supports the housing program and other SDOH programs.

  • A program manager may have responsibility for a piece of a larger enterprise/regional external client facing program.

  • Manages and coordinates the development, approval, implementation and compliance of on-going external client facing housing and SDOH programs; develops program budget; ensures program meets its stated objectives; provides subject matter expertise in response to member's SDOH needs.

  • Engage in outreach activities to educate the community about SDOH and available resources.

  • Work closely with policymakers to ensure that legislation and regulations support efforts to address SDOH.

  • Advocate for policy changes at local, state, or national levels to improve the social determinants of health.

  • ​Keep track of public health trends and social factors affecting the community.

  • Researches applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends.

  • Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.

  • Manages external relationships and partners with corporate and community based organizations.

  • Coordinates training related to external client facing program; develops program success measures and performs periodic assessments of program success.

  • Oversee comprehensive programs to increase population health and address health inequities through implementation of programs to address the social drivers of health including, but not limited to housing, employment, education, transportation, food insecurity, interpersonal safety, and access to care.

Minimum requirements:

  • Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years external client facing experience in program/project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Graduate degree preferred.

  • Project development/implementation/management experience preferred.

  • Homeless/Housing services experience preferred.

  • Experience working with SDOH program preferred.
