Pharmacist Supervisor - Inpatient Pharmacy Requisition ID 2024-52881 Category Allied Health Overview Pharmacist Supervisor - Inpatient Pharmacy Ensures inpatient pharmacy needs are fulfilled, supports the continuity of pharmaceutical care, and provides service for patients including staffing in the inpatient pharmacies and managing personnel. Responsibilities Understands clinical operations, participates in and supervises workflow and workload in various inpatient pharmacies, and proactively intervenes on operational issues to ensure accuracy, safety, and efficiency in the medication use process. Performs personnel management duties for inpatient pharmacy interns, including recruitment, training, scheduling, payroll, and performance assessment. Oversees operations related to automated dispensing cabinets, including scheduling upgrades and regular maintenance and downtime procedure planning. Ensures efficient and timely completion of tasks and duties of assigned team. Provides rotating on-call support for evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, required. Doctor of Pharmacy degree, preferred. Licensure: Licensure, or licensure-eligibility, to practice as pharmacist in the state of Ohio, required. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, required. Ability to motivate staff. Excellent organizational and time management skills Knowledgeable of the full range of pharmacy operations throughout the department and maintain an awareness of developing trends in the field. Experience: Two years of experience as a hospital pharmacist, required. Pediatric experience, preferred. One year of experience at NCH, preferred. Coordinator or supervisor experience, preferred.
