Anderson Aluminum Corporation Material Handler and Inventory Clerk in Columbus, Ohio
The Material Handler & Inventory Clerk position aids with all materials coming and leaving our manufacturing warehouse as well keeping track of product inventory. Material Handlers assist with the strapping, loading, and unloading of materials to our trucks. This involves working with large materials and objects as well as ensuring all shipments are safe to travel and building items to guarantee shipments are secure. Inventory Clerks will verify parts received are accurate and document inventory location and quantity into the Inventory Management System. Employees can be set into one of five different levels based on skillset and training. Levels include Novice ® Advanced Beginner ® Proficient® Expert ® Master Craftsman
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Can work with hand and power tools appropriately
Can read a tape measure or other devices as needed to verify product specifications.
Assist with loading and unloading products.
Ensuring that all deliveries are correct when they are received and when they leave.
Read and understand the necessary shipping and receiving documents.
Accurately document parts and materials using Inventory Management Software on various devices
Perform routing inventory counts
Safely operate forklifts.
Other tasks or duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager or Shop Manager.

Attends and participates in department meetings, safety meetings and training sessions
Accurately fills-out timecard daily

Cleans up any breakage or spillage of which you are aware or that is brought to your attention

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 1st shift.
Pay starts at an hourly rate of $17. Experience will be considered for a higher rate
