Citizens Marketing Analytics Senior Data Analyst (Business Banking) in Columbus, Ohio

There’s no better time to be a Citizen! We are growing and looking to add to our Marketing Analytics team.

We are seeking a strategic and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our Marketing Analytics team with a focus on business banking. The ideal candidate will have financial services experience, preferably in the business banking space. This role will work closely with marketing and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights that inform marketing strategies, campaign measurement, and experimental test design. The Senior Data Analyst will also play a key role in analyzing marketing performance across multiple channels, including direct mail, email, paid digital, SEM, and owned channels.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and interpret complex data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for business banking marketing campaigns.

  • Design and implement marketing performance measurement frameworks, including experimental test designs, to evaluate the impact of campaigns across multiple marketing channels.

  • Collaborate with marketing and business teams to size campaigns, estimate potential business impacts, measure performance, and optimize marketing efforts for business deposits, cash flow solutions, and business lending products.

  • Partner with marketing growth strategists to support direct mail, email, SEM, paid digital, and owned channel strategies by providing insights on channel effectiveness and customer behavior.

  • Become an expert across marketing channels, customer segments and key markets tracked by Citizens’ Enterprise Marketing team to contextualize business activities and priorities.

  • Document and communicate technical/analytic results, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts on our team to brainstorm solutions, understand data availability and tools, provide project updates, and share ideas.

Our preference would be to have a chosen candidate with onsite capabilities in the greater Boston MA or Columbus OH areas, however we are open to remote employment within the United States for the ideal candidate.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in quantitative analytics including marketing analytics, financial modeling, applied statistics, or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of experience in Python, SQL and/or similar programming languages with strong skills in data manipulation, querying, and visualization.

  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, correlation, and variance analysis.

  • Experience or exposure to data and analytics in banking and/or financial Services industry; understanding of business banking across deposits, lending and cash flow solutions preferred.

  • Experience with marketing measurement, campaign sizing, customer segmentation, and experimental test design.

  • Experience in analyzing data from multiple marketing channels, including direct mail, email, paid digital, SEM, and owned channels.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required with an ability to successfully communicate analytic results, insights, and resulting business implications to non-technical business partners.

  • Strong sense of ownership, relentless curiosity and self-driven approach to problem solving.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues who have a background in statistics, database development/maintenance, and technology.

  • Experience working on Agile teams preferred.

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, economics, computer science, engineering or similar quantitative field required; master’s degree preferred.

  • Hours per Week: 40

  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday
