As a Billing Team Lead - Vice President in the J. P. Morgan Advisors Fee Billing Team, you will be in a highly visible role that requires quick thinking, attention to detail, and thoughtful risk mitigation at all times in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a team who supports the J. P. Morgan Advisors line of business eco-system for Managed Accounts. In this role, you will be working primarily to supervise and manage a group of 4 team members to ensure that the quarterly billing process is on time, focusing on escalations, trainings, billing setups, invoicing, tracking, and communicating with Client Service Associates, Financial Advisors, Compensation, and Accounting teams as well as the day-to-day handling of requests from internal and external members.

For this role, candidates must be able to physically work at our 1111 Polaris Pkwy, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise a newly created billing team of 4 direct reports

  • Support the building and integration of a new strategic billing application

  • Partner with the business, legal and compliance teams on the implementation of new products

  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors and their teams to resolve inquiries and issues

  • Facilitate proper tracking and review of the Controls to ensure they are appropriate and updated as needed

  • Manage investment management fee communication, processing, and various reporting.

  • Partner with Finance teams to ensure proper funding and reporting of third party vendors

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of relevant Financial Services experience in an operations role

  • 2 + Supervisory experience in managing a diverse team required

  • Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivot Tables)

  • Detail orientated - Ability to identify numerical errors/inaccuracies in statements/spreadsheets

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, meticulous and strong people skills

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines / deliverables

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Accounting/Bookkeeping generalized experience preferred

  • Experience in invoicing and collections a plus

  • Self-sufficiency and an ability to work with minimal supervision
