2 Position: IT Support Specialist Tier 1 Location: Columbus, OH Brand: Corporate Segment: IT Summary: The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for maintaining high customer service standards to internal associates by utilizing procedures, policies, and standards to assist end users with troubleshooting computer, mobile device and printer issues that they are experiencing in a variety of locations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support for all Information Technology products and services including but not limited to, answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching, or instructing customers regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating policy. Identify, diagnose, and effectively resolve technical issues both local and remote via phone, chat, ticket, or email. Engage in research and in-depth troubleshooting when necessary. Record information in the company's ticketing system and update Support Desk tickets with appropriate entries of activity. Close tickets with resolution upon completion. Resolve Tier 1 Support Desk tickets. Elevate more complex and/or higher priority problems to the Tier 2 support group for resolution. Configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, and decommission end user IT related equipment including, but not limited to, Desktops/Laptops, Printers, Mobile Devices, Mitel Phones Other duties outlined by management. Minimum Qualifications: An associate degree in technology field or 3 years experience in a similar position. A+ certification Demonstrated success in establishing goals, objectives, and change management plans. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Expertise and training in providing technical support. Perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under pressure of time sensitive deadlines. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including handling interruptions, and return to and complete tasks in a timely manner. Demonstrate integrity, ingenuity, and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks. Ability to easily adapt to and learn new technologies. Perform duties and responsibilities independently. Must possess positive, professional interpersonal skills. Desired Qualifications: Network + / Security+ / ITIL Foundation Certification are a plus, but not required. Technical Skills: Understanding of PC Operating Systems operation, maintenance, repair, and installation. Knowledge of software installation, network troubleshooting, and web-based applications.
