ENGIE NORTH AMERICA Health and Safety Intern in Columbus, Ohio
What You Can Expect As our Health and Safety Intern, at The Ohio State University, you will be responsible for providing support to the Environmental Health and Safety Representative. Every day you will assist in in all aspects of the ENGIE Health & Safety Program including, but not limited to: Assisting with incident investigation and monthly indicator reporting Review and disposition of safety Good Catch reports Identifying potential hazards within the work environment Participating in leadership safety walks Employee training Capital Improvement project risk assessment and consultations You will report to the Environmental Health and Safety Representative. The internship work term will be January 6th, 2025 - May 30th, 2025, 10-20 hours per week minimum. What You'll Bring You are a junior or senior working toward a Bachelor's degree in the Environmental Science or a related field, at The Ohio State University You can organize and prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks You can communicate effectively, both written and verbally You have experience with the software included in the Microsoft Office Suite will be helpful, particularly word processing, spreadsheets and database programs You have a desire to make a difference and affect change You possess concern for the well-being of others You hold a proficient ethical standard Additional Details Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/might drive company vehicle Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies; This position consists of 25% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions Ability to meet highest attendance requirements Other related duties to the job Compensation Hourly Range: $22.00 to $24.00 USD hourly This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
