Description

FUNCTION: The Ecommerce Liaison assists with department and ecommerce daily functions including reporting and proactive resolutions and supports Ecommerce projects. In addition, this position assists the Project Manager to establish and maintain EDI, XML, or other inbound and outbound electronic partnerships with vendors and third-party partners (as assigned) to increase enrollment in accordance with company standards and electronic commerce goals.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Oversees EDI 810 production reports, identifies potential problems, and resolves, assists, or escalates to correct obstacles preventing any processing interruptions.

  • Manages and problem solves third party partner issues with the Operations team to optimize EDI enrollment.

  • Increases existing EDI 810- and third-party partner account enrollment by compiling reports, identifying EDI opportunities and assists with contacting vendors for new enrollment as well as resolve obstacles.

  • Assists Project Manager in reviewing output for new EDI vendors and reviews modifications to current EDI vendors.

  • Assists in identifying new EDI partners at the direction of management.

  • Contacts vendors and/or partners to increase enrollment and to resolve quality issues.

  • Completes special projects and other duties as needed.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of electronic interchange protocols, including EDI 810’s, and XML transaction sets.

  • Ability to quickly grasp Cass operating systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Knowledge of utility bill processing or accounts payable is preferred.

  • Developed interpersonal skills necessary to work with and influence IT vendors and Utility vendors.

  • Ability to collaborate with internal resources of all levels within the Cass organization.

MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:

  • A technical level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

  • 1-3 years of experience in a data processing, billing, or electronic commerce environment.
