Job Description SUMMARY: The Data Modeler is responsible for the design, execution and maintenance of data models created towards developing a set of data domains. The position participates as a member of the Chief Data Office data modeling team by leveraging both internal and external datasets to assist the business with creating a set of AI data domains. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. * Design, create, deploy & maintain data models and relational databases via GitHub, DBT & Snowflake * Work collaboratively with business owners, source system engineers and downstream consumers to ensure efficiency and best practices * Collaborate with the modeling architecture team to establish data integrity and sources of truth * Consult subject matter experts within the stride network on best practices * Support initiatives for data strategy (governance, documentation and normalization) * Process confidential data and information according to guidelines Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field, or equivalent training * Five (5) years of relevant professional experience with data modeling tools, including at least three (3) years of experience in handling large data sets using fact and dimension models at an enterprise level OR * Equivalent combination of education and experience Other required qualifications: * Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with other professional staff * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Proficiency with SQL, relational data tables and data modeling principles * Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint) * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time * Ability to clear required background check Certificates and Licenses: None required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience with Visual Studio, DBT Core, Github, Bitbucket, Python * Experience with various formats including but not limited to relational, JSON, Neo4j graphing databases * Demonstrated experience in creating end to end products to drive business outcomes * Experience working with educational data WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Compensation & Benefits:Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
