JPMorgan Chase Data Domain Architect Senior Associate in Columbus, Ohio

We're seeking a Vice President leader passionate about leveraging data to expedite product development, enhance business growth, and improve customer experience. This role is responsible for data across one or more of our 6 products, ensuring its quality, protection, and effective use for business objectives, analytics, operations, and reporting. As a member of the product leadership team, you'll collaborate with product owners and technology leads, and partner with the analytics lead to maximize business value through data-promoten outcomes. You'll also be responsible for identifying and mitigating data risks in compliance with firm-wide policies.

As a Data Domain Architect within the Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) Finance Data Mart, you will play a pivotal role in transforming and modernizing our data environment to cater to the analytical and reporting requirements of the CCB Finance Organization. Your collaboration with the Technology Team will be crucial in designing and delivering data domains into the Databricks powered Data Mart, which amalgamates essential data categories to facilitate the Finance function in their analytical and reporting tasks. You will also work closely with Product teams and stakeholders across the CCB Finance Product Organization to comprehend their needs and make data easily discoverable and accessible for analytical and reporting purposes. This role demands a profound understanding of data architecture, data integration, and data warehousing, along with robust interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the organization's objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize the Finance Data Mart using Databricks and ThoughtSpot to create a robust and efficient environment for data analytics and reporting

  • Design and implement comprehensive and efficient data mart schemas that consolidate key data categories from various source systems, tailored to the needs of the Finance & Business Management function, comprehensive of our diverse set of business including banking, wealth management, credit cards, auto lending, and home lending.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data analysts, and technical specialists, to gather and analyze business requirements

  • Develop, implement, and optimize data workflows, Extract Transform Load(ETL) processes, and data pipelines using Databricks.

  • Work closely with business domain focused Area Product teams and business stakeholders to: 1) design and develop insightful reporting and analytics solutions that drive informed decision-making; 2) apply design led thinking to meet their needs, including making data discoverable and accessible for analytical needs

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on data mart architecture, data models, ETL processes, and data governance policies.

  • Stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in data warehousing, data integration, and data management, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, and data integration, with a focus on the retail banking or financial services industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, or related discipline

  • Expertise in designing and implementing scalable and efficient data mart architectures, including star schema, snowflake schema, and other data modeling techniques.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with data management, data lineage, data dictionaries, and making data discoverable

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex data projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • SQL, Data Modeling, ERWIN

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), AWS Certifications preferred

  • Databricks, Snowflake, or other Cloud Data Warehouse experience preferred

  • Experience on market leading data catalog systems preferred

  • ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Alteryx, or Essbase experience a plus

This role is not a remote position and does not have a relocation allowance tied to it, so all candidates must be local to Columbus or Wilmington or willing to relocate on their own immediately upon hiring.

Candidates must be able to physically work in our Columbus, OH or Wilmington, DE offices 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific hybrid schedule will be determined by direct management.
