JPMorgan Chase Control Manager - Shared Services - Associate in Columbus, Ohio

Join our Controls team in Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), the firm's largest Line of Business. This role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance our control framework, contributing to our continuous approach to risk assessment. Existing knowledge of requirements related to CORE execution will allow you adapt quickly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Facilitate adherence to the CORE Program requirements for CCB.

  • Assist with CORE oversight and execution, including accurate and timely completion of maintenance requests, coordination of incoming shared mailbox questions, and ensuring CORE program requirement deadlines are monitored and followed-up on as needed.

  • Review new issue and action plan submissions for compliance with requirements for onboarding and assist in the systemic closure of existing issues and action plans, including the collection and review of required evidence.

  • Demonstrate leadership and teamwork to ensure goals are achieved for timely preparation of meeting materials and control protocols.

  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions.

  • Maintain flexibility and be able to adapt to a consistently changing business environment; be able to quickly and effectively assess impacts and capitalize on change.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

  • 3+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and achieve deadlines and deliver quality results within a team environment

  • Collaborative team player able to develop meaningful and effective working relationships with fellow colleagues

  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, and collaborate with business and control organization

  • Self-motivated and confident decision-maker with the ability to lead, challenge and influence change where necessary

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Experience leading and implementing program requirements and using various Business Intelligence Tools

  • Strong meeting and program facilitation skills to roll out and gather requirements across multiple group and organizational levels.

  • Ability to understand both strategic and tactical direction and extrapolate functional process flows and business requirements.

  • Background creating training or procedure documentation.
