Robert Half Business Analyst (IT): IV (Lead) in Columbus, Ohio

Description

We are offering a long-term employment opportunity for a Business Analyst (IT): IV (Lead) in Columbus, Ohio. This position is integral in the IT sector, and you will be working in the office 3 days per week. Your primary responsibilities will be focused on providing support for assigned business processes and systems within the business unit, analyzing and implementing improvements, and serving as a technical liaison between various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Independently research and resolve complex problems related to assigned business processes and systems

• Analyze and implement technical or procedural improvements to optimize operations

• Develop and provide documentation for user and training purposes

• Design processes to meet regulatory requirements and ensure compliance

• Generate specialized and ad hoc reports; analyze report data to recommend process or system improvements

• Provide technical support to business unit customers and management

• Act as a liaison between software vendors and system users or between users and other corporate areas

• Manage project/initiative documentation and communication, including scope, controls, performance testing, requirements, and implementation plans

• Define and manage features and user stories in an Agile environment

• Create, refine, and manage business processes, workflows, and systems documentation

• Assume accountability for deliverables, budgets, and timelines

• Demonstrate and document in-depth knowledge of IT applications and their impacts on business, legal, risk, and compliance areas

• Identify and communicate how IT solutions can strategically assist and support the business unit

• Train team members and end-users on new systems, processes, and technologies

• Identify and document areas of improvement and optimization on business processes, operations, workflows, and systems

• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies

• Lead collaborative sessions with stakeholders to define and refine features, user stories, scope, and requirements

• Participate in bug review and triage sessions, and act as an SME on all project/initiative meetings

• Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate UAT needs for end-to-end sign off

• Provide ongoing support for systems and applications post-implementation.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and communication.

• Proven experience in documentation and training.

• Understanding of business operations and planning.

• Familiarity with business procedures and technical support.

• Knowledge of compliance and budget processes.

• Ability to review and create presentations.

• Experience in workstation support and vendor management.

• Proven track record in implementation and acting as a liaison.

• Familiarity with optimization processes and stakeholder management.

• Understanding and application of best practices in business.

• Proficient in research analysis.

• Experience working in Agile environments.

• Strong background in business analysis.

• Industry knowledge in financial services.

• Ability to deliver high-quality work.
