Advance Practice Provider - Palliative Care

Position Purpose:

The APRN - NP Specialty provides primary or acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

This position is for the inpatient Acute Palliative Care team. They work day shift and will rotate to Mount Carmel East, St. Ann's and Mount Carmel Grove City.

Job Qualifications:

 Education: Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner

program with specialization in area of practice.

 Licensure / Certification: State licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), Nurse

Practitioner (NP) and/or other designation as required by law.

 Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred.

 Effective Communication Skills

 Excellent clinical assessment and analytical skills.

 Effective leadership and interpersonal skills; facilitates problem resolution and maintains a

professional demeanor in difficult situations.

 Knowledge of the functional operations of utilization management, discharge planning,

business offices, and third party payers preferred.
