Position Summary:

  • This is a salaried exempt level position reporting in collaboration with an established team to the Engineering Manager with oversite for projects in Columbus NE.

Job Purpose and Impact:

  • The Project Manager will partner with the business areas and (key) cross functional ADM stakeholders to manage expectations for project scope, schedule, and budget. Facilitate buy in for project implementations while collaborating with a team of professionals to execute on various project initiatives as well as lead other initiatives. In this role, you will ensure high-quality work for new and revamp projects up to and exceeding 5 million dollars with high-cost improvement and critical infrastructure impact and significance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope and plan the delivery of projects according to a roles & responsibility matrix. Execute the project, including costing and implementation according to the Front-End Loading (FEL) guidelines.

  • Understanding the FEL process and deliverables required by ADM. Serve as a mentor to process engineers to guide them through FEL.

  • Project site field reviews during development and execution to understand potential clashes to develop mitigation plans to maintain budget and schedule. Be willing and able to perform construction management responsibilities during project execution.

  • Assuring monthly project reporting to the stakeholders through FEL, execution, commissioning, and capitalization and closure.

  • Scope change and risk management escalation processes.

  • Complying with local legislation and ADM requirements for permitting, safety legislation, quality assurance, HACCP, GMP, Hazop as well as TPS policy.

  • Supporting and driving contractor safety using preventative action plans and safety metrics.

  • Assure that the safety and reliability of existing equipment is maintained during project implementation.

  • Coordinate the team development of all necessary documentation for commissioning, training, maintenance and maintain all records required by legislation and policies.

  • Coordinate and provide direction to contractual partners for project execution including the use of a well-maintained work breakdown structure.

  • Setting up project structure and coordination with project steering committee according project governance guidelines.

  • Perform duties as Engineering Manager delegate as needed.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field, preferably in combination with project management engineering

  • Knowledge of cost engineering and key performance indicators

  • Knowledge of industrial process project planning and scheduling with multi-craft trades.

  • Knowledge of project commissioning means and methods.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Project, Primavera or other resource loaded scheduling tools.

  • Knowledge of enterprise management systems

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent interpersonal English fluency communication skills, written and verbal.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Certified Project Manager or willingness to obtain certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years managing several industrial projects of low to Moderate complexity ranging in size from 500,000 to 5 million USD or equivalent experience.

  • Ability to work with 3rd party design firms executing under a variety of contractual methodologies.

  • Experience of multi-year project execution.

  • Experience with execution on revamp and brownfield projects or related experience.

  • Knowledge of SharePoint
