This is a job for a Painter located in Columbus, MS. 

Job Summary: We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Painter to help us create the future of flight. 

Responsibilities: Set up and operate methods to paint detail parts using spray gun. Use close tolerance measuring tools i.e., scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages and like tools. Handle, mix and apply various epoxy resin materials and systems. Use and maintain customer supplied tooling for executing precision work. Read and interpret blueprints. Follow engineering planning, and accurately fill out and complete work orders. Follow all regulatory requirements relative to use of paint on the shop floor. Use hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner to shape and form simple and complex components. Complete self-verification procedure on work orders and other required documents. Support company Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention Program. Provide back up support for assembly work to meet production targets. Successfully complete training as required to maintain efficiency on the job.Comply with good housekeeping, quality, FOD, and safety procedures. Support other Aurora Flight Sciences sites as required. Perform other tasks as required by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma (GED) and one (1) or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/associate degree). Knowledge of and ability to paint and operate spray painting equipment and use acceptable spray painting, techniques (i.e. automotive body shop, aerospace). One year of painting or spray-painting experience. Willing to work second shift. Knowledge of computers and equipment which utilizes computer software technology. Must be a US Person.

Preferred Requirements: Vocational and/or technical schooling related to painting in the aviation/aerospace industry. Experienced in FAA manufacture and associated paperwork. Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, which utilize ASME, Y 14.5 M. Experience working with specification-driven procedures for the aviation/aerospace industry. Aerospace Coating Specialist Certification is a plus; FAA Licensed A&P - a plus. Ability to measure paint products through a viscosity gage and mill thickness procedures.
