ABB Inc Maintenance Planner Columbus in Columbus, Mississippi

This position is for a Maintenance Planner, with a manufacturing company location in Columbus, MS.

 

Duties include. Will lead the factory Maintenance team in the planning and implementation of initiatives that maintain and improve the reliability, effectiveness and/or efficiency of equipment, technical infrastructure, production lines and/or facilities. Will work as part of the Low Voltage Products Team, which manufactures circuit breakers, switches, wiring accessories, enclosures, and cables systems to protect people, installations, and electronic equipment from electrical overload in both residential homes and commercial buildings. Duties and Responsibilities include: Maintenance budget: Proposes and manages the annual maintenance budget; Monitors the costs and effectiveness of activities to optimize resources and determines actions to cost issues as necessary; Production line maintenance: Collaborates with the Engineering department in the definition of maintenance plans for new production lines and recommends methods to improve reliability, ongoing maintenance and safety of equipment; Maintenance policies: Defines maintenance policies and processes that drive maximum efficiency of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. Develops and implements life cycle management procedures for all new and existing equipment; Improvement projects: Develops and proposes improvement projects for processes and production lines to reduce both ordinary and extraordinary maintenance; Health, safety and environment (HSE): Ensures that Group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources; People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager Support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed; Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Qualifications include: High school diploma with 2 years of manufacturing experience; OR, Associate's Degree and 10 years of manufacturing experience; OR, HD Diploma and 11 years of manufacturing experience; (Position might be filled at a higher level: A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience; A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 12 years' experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance and/or facility maintenance; Construction management experience for site expansion and/or equipment installation; Health and safety experience with relevant certifications; Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for this company in the US.
